The Pride Of Africa Nature Reserve comprises 3000 hectares of typical bushvelsin a malaria free area, more than 800 head of game roam the reserve and visitors are assured of encounters with a magnificent assortment of animals, plants and birds.

Phakama offers two separate exclusive adjoining but private lodge facilities namely the larger BAOBAB lodge and the smaller MARULA lodge, each facility fully equipped and tastefully decorated.

If it is merely rest and relaxation that you are after, Phakama also offers a unique weekend break-away option for visitors who are desirous of booking each or even both of our exclusive lodge facilities as selfcatering accommodation.

MARULA LODGE

With its pristine gardens, the thatch building of MARULA lodge provides a tranquil setting comprising of lodge with satellite television, dinning room and designer kitchen. Other facilities include a private thatch entertainment area with open air boma and swimming pool.

MARULA lodge offers authentic African décor in five luxury rooms situated in the main building and separated cottages, with a perfect blend of the formal and informal. Pure cotton linen and top quality beds are also standard. MARULA lodge at Phakama can accommodate 16 guests sharing or five single, with two rooms accommodating two guests each and three rooms accommodating four guests each.

BAOBAB LODGE

With its impressive array of indigenous trees, the main thatch building of BAOBAB lodge blends in with the natural surroundings, comprising of a tastefully decorated reception and intimate lounge area, elevated restaurant venue with extended viewing deck.

The lodge also offers a cosy open-air bush boma incorporating a rusting cocktail bar and sunny swimming pool. A separate lounge and library area is available for reading or watching satellite television. A separate and spacious bar is also available consisting of a lounge with pool table and satellite television.

BAOBAB lodge present exclusive accommodation in nine luxury suites with en-suite bathrooms and offers guests authentic African décor with complete comfort in a beautiful natural setting. Pure cotton linen and quality beds are standard. BAOBAB lodge at Phakama can accommodate 18 guests sharing or nine single.
